i always love to see your videos! I have a question if you feel like answering.. I will be hosting my first pottery workshop in September (!!) and wondering if you have any tips? Especially around timing.. how do you have people hand build pieces and get them firm enough to be able to attach handles and underglaze all in one session? thank you!! <3
so my mug workshops I always brought a little fan and had a little section where people could put their pieces to harden up! but mostly I’d have people make the cup part of their mug, put it to the side and focus on the handle, then asked them to think about what they wanted to do for their design while they gave the clay a moment to set up! :-) hope that’s helpful!
also my classes were 2.5-3 hrs long!! the mug making itself was pretty quick but people took most of the time to do the decorating! I used the fan again so each underglaze layer could dry a bit in between!

Hi hon! Always love seeing your stuff pop up 😍 I've been curious for so long--are you primarily using underglazes with clear on top, or are you using some sort of glossy-style glaze like the mayco stoke and coat? (for ex. your signature tigers on the brown clay body seem to have a matte base, with a shiny stripe/details etc)
hi!! on white clay I’m using regular underglaze before bisque, then add a clear glaze on top, and on the brown clay I use underglaze with stroke & coat details :-) hope that’s helpful!
